Each record's SHA-256 hash includes the previous record. Modify any past entry, and every subsequent hash mismatches. Mathematically detectable, no authority needed.

DigiCert — a globally trusted certificate authority — signs each record with a precise RFC 3161 timestamp. This proves when a record was created, independent of Borderly's servers. Available on paid tiers.

Blockchain anchor

A cryptographic summary of your records is periodically written to the blockchain. This creates an immutable checkpoint that doesn't depend on Borderly existing. Available on paid tiers.

Permanence

Proof beyond trust.

RFC 3161 timestamps are issued by DigiCert, not Borderly. Your timestamped records are always independently verifiable by anyone you share them with.
